huayuri archaeological project PAHUAY
In 2005, Maskay Pacha was involved in the organization of the second field season of the Huayuri Archaeological Project PAHUAY. This project started as a dissertation fieldwork of one of our members and was initially funded by The National Science Foundation (USA) and the Center of Latin American Studies at University of Pittsburgh (USA). The goal of this project was to explore the domestic organization at a highly agglutinated Late Prehispanic site in the Nasca area. The second season (2005) was planned to continue gathering data that allowed the completion of some of the research goals already set during the 2002 season. In 2004, Maskay Pacha recruited volunteers who participated in the cataloging and description of ceramic artifacts, camelid bones, and textiles retrieved from the 2002 field season <<Read more>>
